Subscription Terms
These Subscription Terms apply to SKAFT. Pro, the premium subscription tier of the SKAFT. mobile application. By starting a free trial or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these terms.
1. Seller
SKAFT. Pro is sold by Viktor Tumi Valdimarsson, operating SKAFT. as an independent practice tracker for golfers made and operated in Iceland (“we”, “SKAFT.”), through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, who act as the merchant of record. SKAFT. is currently operated as a personal project and is not yet a registered company. This means:
- Apple or Google charge you, issue the invoice, and collect Icelandic value-added tax (VSK / VAT) at the rate of 24% included in the listed price.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot directly process refunds. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from Google Play at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory.
- Any questions about the content of the subscription (what’s included, technical issues, your account) can be sent to skaft@skaftgolf.com.
2. What’s included
SKAFT. Pro unlocks the following premium features:
- Competitions · create and join multi-player progress and drill-score competitions with your friends.
- Advanced statistics · Score progress per drill, How-you-compare to peer and pro averages, conditions breakdowns, and the embedded Progress card.
- Unlimited custom drills · the free tier is limited to 3 user-created drills; SKAFT. Pro removes the cap.
- Unlimited session history + export · the free tier shows the last 30 days of practice; SKAFT. Pro shows your full history and lets you export sessions to PDF.
Features may be added, changed, or removed during the subscription term provided the overall service remains substantially as described.
3. Pricing and billing periods
SKAFT. Pro is offered in two billing periods:
- Monthly: 1.290 ISK per month (24% VSK included)
- Annual: 9.990 ISK per year (24% VSK included)
Prices are shown in Icelandic Króna (ISK) on the Icelandic storefront and may appear in a different currency if you are signed in to a non-Icelandic Apple ID or Google account. Apple/Google convert prices using their published pricing tiers. The price actually charged is always the price displayed in the app paywall at the moment you confirm the purchase.
We may change prices for future renewal periods; you will be notified at least 30 days in advance and given the option to cancel before the change takes effect.
4. Free trial (14 days, no card required)
When you create a SKAFT. account, you automatically receive a 14-day free trial of SKAFT. Pro. The trial is granted by SKAFT.’s own servers, not by Apple or Google. We do not collect any payment information during the trial. You cannot be charged during the trial because no payment method is linked.
When the 14 days end, your account simply reverts to the free tier. There is no automatic conversion to a paid subscription. To keep using the Pro features after the trial, you have to open the app and explicitly choose a Monthly or Annual subscription. That is the moment Apple or Google ask for your payment method and initiate billing.
Each SKAFT. account is eligible for one 14-day trial. If you delete your account and create a new one, the trial is not re-granted.
You do not need to “cancel” the trial; if you simply do nothing, you will not be charged.
5. Auto-renewal of paid subscriptions
Once you start a paid Monthly or Annual subscription, it auto-renews at the end of each period using the payment method you have on file with Apple or Google. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID or Google account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of period end.
To cancel a paid subscription:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → SKAFT. → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SKAFT. → Cancel
Turning off auto-renewal does not refund the current period. You keep access to SKAFT. Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
6. 14-day right of withdrawal (Icelandic / EEA distance-selling)
Under Icelandic consumer law (Lög um neytendasamninga nr. 16/2016, Art. 18) you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content without giving a reason.
Article 21(j) of the same Act allows this right to be lost for digital content if the consumer (a) gives prior express consent to immediate delivery of the content, and (b) acknowledges that giving that consent ends the withdrawal right.
When you start a paid SKAFT. Pro subscription inside the app, the paywall asks you to tick a box that gives both of these consents. By ticking that box and confirming the purchase, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the SKAFT. Pro digital content and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal under Lög um neytendasamninga nr. 16/2016 Art. 21(j).
If you have not ticked that box (for example, if you purchased an older version of the app where this consent flow did not exist), your 14-day withdrawal right still applies. Contact skaft@skaftgolf.com within 14 days of the first paid charge to exercise it. We will support your refund request directly with Apple or Google, and where Apple or Google decline a withdrawal that we believe is valid under Icelandic law, we will refund the amount directly.
This clause does not affect the refund policies operated by Apple or Google, which may grant refunds beyond the statutory minimum at their discretion.
7. Cancellation and termination
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through your Apple or Google account subscriptions screen (see §5). After cancellation:
- You keep access to SKAFT. Pro until the end of the current paid period.
- Auto-renewal is disabled. You will not be charged again.
- Your data (sessions, drills, friends, competitions you’ve created) stays in your account. You return to the free tier with the corresponding feature limits.
We may suspend or terminate your subscription if you breach these terms, the Terms of Service, or applicable law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure first.
8. Refunds
Refunds are issued by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
- Apple: request at reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: request through your Order history
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact skaft@skaftgolf.com with the date and amount of the charge. We will help you submit the refund request to Apple or Google. Where the issue is on SKAFT.’s side (for example, a bug that caused an unintended purchase) and Apple or Google decline the refund, we will refund the amount directly via a method we agree with you.
9. Promotional offers
We do not currently use Apple’s or Google’s introductory-offer mechanisms (the 14-day trial described in §4 is granted by SKAFT.’s own servers, not by the App Store or Play Store). We may from time to time offer promotional pricing or promo codes. The terms of each promotional offer are disclosed at the point of acceptance and apply only for the period stated.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Subscription Terms when the law, the service, or our billing changes. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of SKAFT. Pro after that date counts as acceptance.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Before going to court, you can file a complaint with Neytendastofa (the Consumer Agency of Iceland), neytendastofa.is, or with the kvörtunarþjónustu (Consumer Complaints Service) at tjonsbot.is for free dispute resolution. The competent court in the first instance is Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur.
Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights as a consumer under Icelandic law (Lög um neytendakaup nr. 48/2003, Lög um neytendasamninga nr. 16/2016) or under EU/EEA consumer-protection directives.
